Deborah Liv Johnson has been a Folk Heritage favorite for many years, and we look for any excuse to bring her back to town for a show. George Varga has compared her singing positively to that of Joan Baez and Judy Collins, and called her “a local treasure.” Her material includes classic folk and popular songs, as well as her own pieces, and range from gentle to bluesy.
Peter Sprague is known as a jazz guitarist, but that only begins to describe him. From Beatles tunes to free-form electronic performances, his show is always a sonic spectacle. His use of a two-necked guitar gives him even more flexibility.
These two have collaborated over the years, and requested we set them up together on this show, and we can’t wait to hear what they pull out of their guitars.
