Folk Heritage favorite and Poway local Lisa Sanders is an electrifying performer with inspiring Americana music and captivating storytelling. Her heartfelt songs are genuine with deep meaning and conviction. A musical style that is woven with soulful country blues, folk, pop, gospel, rock and jazz. Writing, singing and producing from her heart in nearly every genre for over three decades, Sanders continues to make an impact in the musical world. She has shared stages with legends such as Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Poltz, BB King, Babyface, AJ Croce, Mary Gauthier, Joe Ely, Gillian Welch and more. Her new album, “Daughters of the rising tide,” was co-written and produced in Nashville JT Nero of Birds of Chicago and is receiving endless praise.
Kylie Rothfield is a force to be reckoned with. It’s no wonder her unique, soulful voice caught the ears of Alicia Keys on S11 of The Voice, who described her as “a blossoming, powerful flower with so much heart, so much talent, so much emotion and vocal power”. Kylie is also an accomplished songwriter and guitarist, with having planted roots in Nashville and currently Los Angeles. In 2015, she signed her first publishing deal and has since had her songs placed on ABC, NBC, MTV and E! Network; as well as on numerous artist’s albums. She has also been endorsed by Epiphone Guitars and received features on Epiphone.com, SheShreds, Bustle, Billboard and Rolling Stone for her performances. Kylie’s independent releases collectively have almost 250K streams on Spotify and growing.
Ashley E. Norton
Ashley E. Norton is an inspiring singer, songwriter and champion for independent music. She moved to Nashville in 2010 to pursue a career in Country music. There, she hosted many successful songwriter nights, wrote hundreds of songs and worked with some of Nashville’s finest, including an album with Johnny Garcia, producer and lead guitarist of Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood. Since 2014, she’s been touring the world non-stop with her Americana/indie-folk duo, Whitherward, never stopping anywhere long enough to claim a home base. Through her career, she has independently toured extensively through Europe and the United States, released over 12 studio albums, 10 official music videos, multiple notable festivals and a major Subaru sponsorship behind her. With her partner Ed Williams, she has wowed us on previous passes through town at the Sam Hinton Festival, and in Templars Hall with a full evening of Simon and Garfunkel songs.
