Sam Hinton Folk Heritage Festival

We’re still working the details, but we generally have first class music on the pavilion from 10 am to 4 pm, plus organized jams and song swaps around the park, Storytellers of San Diego on in the Porter House (schedule pending), and more.

Gazebo Mainstage Music Schedule:
10 am – Whole Hog, a band from up north that plays bluegrass, Irish, western swing, and old-time music
11 am – Lonesome Darlings, with Steve Denyes (guitar, vocals), Brendan Kremer (cajon, vocals) and Shawn Rohlf (banjo, mandolin, vocals)
Noon – Nathan James, 
an international sensation and a local treasure
1 pm – The Fallen Stars, an Americana band from Orange County, featuring the dynamic Bobbo Byrnes
2 pm – Vulcan Mountains Boys, good old-time bluegrass
3 pm – Watson, Beldock, and Beach, longtime local favorites, with stellar songs, singing, and musicianship

Other Events Around the Park:

Bring your chair, your instrument, your dancing shoes, or just your ears, for informal music around the park. It’s always amazing how talented and diverse our community is, not to mention welcoming.

Irish Session – 11 am to 12:30 pm, at the Sweater Tree. Masato “Nishi” Nishimura.
Song Circle – 12:30 to 1:30 pm, on the lawn. PENDING
Old Time Jam – 1 to 3 pm, at the Sweater Tree. Steve Green.
Bluegrass Jam –  2 to 4 pm, on the lawn. Mark Pullin/San Diego Bluegrass Society and North County Bluegrass & Folk Club.
Song Swap – 2 to 4 pm, behind the boxcar. Lara Hardin/North County Folk Circle.
