Peggy Watson is not only a beloved local singer-songwriter – she’s also spent a decade as a San Diego Folk Heritage board member! As Peggy ends her time on the board, we thought the best way to honor her would be to invite Peggy and her longtime collaborator David Beldock to perform a full concert of their melodic, funny, and emotional original songs.
David and Peggy perform original acoustic folk, blues and jazz and started their collaboration as unlikely music partners. While David spent years performing with various bands, honing his rock and blues guitar playing, Peggy was rooted in contemporary folk traditions with occasional detours into jazz and pop. But when they joined forces, they discovered that writing songs together was a fun challenge that they couldn’t resist. Together, they are known for their dazzling musicianship, beautiful harmonies, and humorous stage presence.
